1. For the sake of the environment, the neighbourhood - especially our neighbours in Winton Ave, Bidwell Gdns, and Blake Rd, and anyone living with chest/lung conditions such as asthma and COPD, or other long-term health conditions, please DO NOT burn your plant waste if it is wet. As far as possible, keep it covered until burning days.

2. Keep your bonfires as far away from gardens as possible.

3. Check thoroughly for animals which might be using your heaps as bedding - think foxes, hedgehogs, cats, rodents - BEFORE you light up.

3. NEVER use petrol or any other flammable liquids on a bonfire.

​

4. NEVER leave your bonfire unattended. 

​

5. Make sure your bonfire is completely extinguished BEFORE leaving the allotment site.
